Historic Chulitna River Lodge ("HCRL") was purchased by the current owners in the height of a world pandemic. Unprecedented changes and transitions have this company in alignment with a "greater purpose" that continues to unfold.
Mark and Ginger Majors, owners of HCRL, have been involved in health-related businesses since 1987, and they recognize the value of pursuing healthier choices in all facets of life. With that goal in mind, they have created this property, which is designed to facilitate stronger family connections and better emotional health.
HCRL's goal is to host ‘Family First Retreats’ at this cleverly designed property. The ‘Family First Retreat’ idea is to purposefully include family members in the accommodations regardless of the occasion for meeting. From family reunions to corporate or church retreats, the beautiful facilities will accommodate a range of guests from across the country. HCRL has been carefully chosen for its extraordinary outdoor experiences, with its own natural beauty created by God.
Whether you prefer social interaction or just desire a quiet spot to read or meditate, special care has been given to create a space just for you. Come choose your moments of enjoyment in a unique setting and fill your memory bank with good, long-lasting memories.
While the property is available for corporate retreats, meetings, and gatherings at competitive prices, we also will be reserving dates at a discounted cost for select ministers as "Shunem retreats for the prophet." These times of refreshing will allow ministry workers to fully relax and recharge.
Our desire is to model the generosity and hospitality of the Shunammite woman (2 Kings 4:8) who built a room where the Prophet Elisha could rest when he passed through her town. We envision ministering to those who give their lives to ministry in a similar way.
